Meet The Artist

Inspired by nature’s designs, adventuring travels and being with her beloveds (and all things God given) is the genesis for Girasole Stephi.

Stephanie is California born and raised and art has always been a part of her life. Natures astounding beauty and form bring her pure joy and mirth filling countless hours with creativity and productivity - making jewelry is her happy place.

A former teacher in life sciences and health, she put aside her teaching career to raise her two children the greatest joys of her life. During early motherhood, Stephanie Olin’s Rubber Stamps was born. She then turned the whimsical designs into her unique and original Sterling Silver Charm line. With the charms, Stephi created handmade jewelry using a myriad of beautiful lampwork and cane glass beads, Swarovski crystals and sterling silver findings. Curiosity catapulted her desire to be further challenged and she picked up a torch - she was hooked on soldering.

Stephanie is ever so thankful and grateful for the many teachers these past 15 years who have guided her thus far in jewelry design and silversmithing. Trial and error, making mistakes and problem solving have also been a part of her education. Trained in traditional silversmithing she also has certifications in precious metal clays and Stephanie’s education is ongoing.

She is an avid gardener, loves to be outdoors hiking, mountain biking, and kayaking in the beautiful So Cal hills and oceans. In addition the many trips to so many National Parks partaking in Gods beauty have all translated into inspiration and motivation for her work.

As a teacher in biology, creative writing, and presently silversmithing classes, her dream has always been to have an educational art studio where high schoolers up to adults can immerse themselves into traditional metal smithing and jewelry design.
